 HOW ARE YOU?

Omoooo I don't like hearing this question because the default answer is "fine, thank you" lmao, it's almost always been that way.

I was having a bad day some days ago and a neighbor I greeted replied with the usual "How are you?" I wanted to screammmm "I'm not fine, no thanks" lmao that wouldn't have been funny. But back to it, I didn't reply and I kept on thinking all through that day, why do we ask how are you without really meaning it?

 I'd rather ask "hope you're good" because frankly speaking, I'm not fine so I don't want anyone to ask "how are you" and I'd have to lie that I'm okay when I'm not. Yup, I'm not fine, good or okay, what other adjective please 😩. I'll be fine tho, it's just been a rough couple of weeks and my country isn't helping matters. In fact, it is the root abeg.

Moving away from that plix, we have to be intentional about asking how people are. A lot of us are not fine and fr, it starts with Nigeria as a whole. Moneyyy, light, the educational system, the government, crazy inflation in prices and all of that… how should one be fine?

PS if you see me outside, chook money inside my hand plix, T for thanks.😂

Back to the topic, yes plenty people are not doing too good which is one of the reasons behind my previous blog post, "BE KIND" 

You don't really know how most people, especially those closest to us are faring. My guy, you'll be shocked if you find out, but even as you don't, be kind, pleaseeee be careful with your words, and in your actions.

Asides that, pray for those close to you, and those that are not. Pray and hope that Nigeria gets better for us all, pray that things generally gets better because it isn't easy, at all.

But as people, do the little you can for people close to you. When you ask if someone is fine, mean it and try and do whatever is in your power to make them feel better. 

God! I really do hope things get better. I really do hope so. I hope the next time someone asks if I'm fine, I can say "yes, thank you" and actually mean it. It is well.

And to you out there, yes you, I hope you're really fine, and if you are not, I hope this week favours you, I hope nothing you do goes in vain, I hope you find favour, I hope you smile, widely with crinkles in your eyes, I hope you laugh, out loud and mean it, I hope you love, deep and wide, I hope you get allll your heart desires, all you need and want, I wish you eternal, deep Joy and peace of mind.
