Catch up on all that went down at the AMVCA 2022 Edition.

It's the eighth edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, AMVCA and it's nothing short of glamorous.

The AMVCA, 2022 edition kicked off on the 8th of May, 2022 with different events: fashion runway show, culture and food festival day, content creators brunch…

However, the grand finale was held today at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, here in Lagos. The grand finale was hosted by IK Osakioduwa and Bonang Matheba.

The best dressed on the Red Carpet at the event was won by Nigerian Actress, Osas Ighodaro and Denola Grey. Each of them went home with a cash price of ₦500,000 each.

Nigerian Actress, Teniola Aladese won the Trailblazer Award and went home with a cash of one million naira.(Definitely well deserved!)

Best Africa Magic Original Drama Series- Rishante( Dimbo Atiya).
Best Cinematographer- Mohammed Atta Mohammed (Rattlesnake)
Best Makeup- Balogun Abiodun (Omo Ghetto-The Saga)
Best Art Director (Movie/TV Series)- Tunji Afolayan- Amina
Best Short Film/Online Video- Taiwo Ogunnimo (I am the prostitute Mama described).
Best Overall Movie Award- Amina

Now, to the Best Dressed and of course, Worst Dressed.

Asides Osas Ighodaro and Denola Grey winning best dressed at the event, which was well deserved, a couple people stood out for me with their dazzling outfits.

I know there are some people you expected on that list, you can add yours if you want to.

Now for the worst/least favorite dressed (IMO):

First is the "Duchess of London" James Brown, hmm lmao I don't have much to say on his dress, see for yourself here.

There's Ihuoma Linda Ejiofor, her dress was beautiful, but looked too plain.

And the lady in black, (in this Lagos heat!!)LMAO, Simi Drey. I feel like her dress might have worked in another setting, at another time, definitely not this night though so Simi Drey's outfit is a No for me.

Ifuennada as well was a No for me. Black is a beautiful color, (a personal favorite) but it needs to be used well, paired well to shine in its glory. Putting on an all black, with the masked face dress cover(or what not) and the make up, it's just a no for me, I'm sorry.

And for me, some people just fell in between, I didn't quite understand their outfit. Some of them are Saga, Jackie B, Maria, Niyi, Omowunmi Dada, Adunni Ade, Chioma Akpotha, Folu Storms…
